George Clooney & Amal Alamuddin Marry In Venice

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin tied the knot today in Venice, Italy. The actor, 53, and the British human rights attorney, 36, wed at the Aman Canal Grande. Journalist and former mayor of Rome, Walter Veltroni, officiated the ceremony.
The actor's rep confirmed to People: "George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin were married today in a private ceremony in Venice, Italy."
The event was a star-studded event and included Clooney's "Ocean's Eleven" co-star Matt Damon, US singer Bono, actress Ellen Barkin, actor John Krasinski, actress Emily Blunt, Vogue editor Anna Wintour, Clooney's best pal Rande Gerber and his supermodel wife Cindy Crawford.
The party is just starting for the newlyweds. They will continue to celebrate in the floating city and take part in a civil ceremony at the 16th Century Cavalli Palace on Monday.
It's Clooney's second marriage. He was previously married to actress Talia Balsam from 1989 to 2003. He famouly swore he would never marry again, but after a whirlwind courtship, he proposed to Alamuddin last April.
